Prior to working for Freightnet Handling I was a Department for Transport (DfT) Aviation Security Compliance Inspector and qualified as a subject matter expert in UK and European Aviation Security Legislation. During my time with the DfT I became the Lead Inspector for X Ray Screening, Overt and Covert X Ray Screening Testing, Free Running Explosive Detection Dogs and Fine Art Screening. I was also the UK’s Lead Inspector for the events of 25th December 2009 (The attempted attack on Flight 253 by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab (the ‘Underpants Bomber’) and the event on 29th October 2010 (The UPS Printer Cartridge Bomb).
