Rocío Salvador Roldán is a lawyer.  After six years in private practice, she joined the Commission in 2006.  At the Commission she worked first in the regulation of chemicals and, for the last ten years, she has been working in the regulation of medicines. In 2014, she became responsible for the area of advanced therapy medicinal products.  Among others, she has worked on the report on the application of the ATMP Regulation, the amendment of the definition of "similarity" for ATMPs, the adoption of Guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practice specific for ATMPs and the optimisation of the application of the GMO framework for gene therapy medicinal products.
